Description

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, located in the heart of Los Angeles, California, is an iconic sports and entertainment venue with a rich history that dates back to its opening in 1923. Originally built to host the Olympic Games, the Coliseum has served as a critical site for multiple Olympic events, including the 1932 and 1984 Summer Olympics, making it one of the few stadiums in the world to have hosted the Games twice. With a seating capacity of over 77,000, it is one of the largest stadiums in the United States and offers a unique blend of historical significance and modern amenities.

The architecture of the Coliseum is striking, characterized by its grand entrance and the famous peristyle, which adds an element of classical design to the venue. Previous Comments For Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

I've stood and sat in the middle of this field while this great stadium was completely empty, save for my (then) girlfriend & I. We took many photographs of our visit. It was eerie. It was amazing.
